think there was so much hype leading up to np you can see lindsay lohan. that was an opening part of this thing. you saw her quickly. she said you've got to pull it together, handler, nobody will hire an alcoholic. a lot of people laughed about that. the thing people were talking about was this big rivalry between tarl swift and kanye west, was it going to play out, was it not? she had a song a lot of people said seemed was about him. >> it was to me at least my interpretation a song of forgiveness for him, kind of forgiving him. >> of course referencing when he interrupted her last year at the vmas. listen to his song, though, because a lot of people said it addressed his character flaws. this closed the show. ♪ >> so a lot of people are saying that's the end of his pop culture exile. and you should note everyone was chanting "kanye." the only standing ovation of the night. >> i'm surprised they let him close out the show, but they gave him a big spot in the show. we can't say some of those lyrics on the air he said. but basically he said i screwed up, trying to atone for that.

we know there was damage there and in segerville, highland park, and lindsay and cook county. no reports of deaths from tonight's storm. >> before tornados started dropping down in north texas, we had record rainfall. one man died in the floods in johnson county. rushing water from a creek swept his truck off of county road 607. rescuers found james wright's body about 1:00 this afternoon. firefighters say they heard him screaming but they couldn't get to him in time. firefighters in arlington were busy this afternoon helping people escape from the rising water there. we watched person after person climb across a ladder at the willows at shady valley apartments. even a man with a baby strapped to his chest managed to get out okay, as cars were floating away. the water rose up to eight feet outside those apartments today. tonight, many people who live there cannot go back inside. channel 8 is live in arlington with their story. >> reporter: fire officials estimate most of than 100 people alone at this complex have been left homeless by these floodwaters. they severe damaged 14

to an interchange with lindsay graham, regardless of what's happening in afghanistan, regardless of what the military says, july, the pullout begins. >> also, we should point out that bob woodward has focused this particular book on the white house. on the wars. you know, we've got all the members of the economic team for the most part jumping out the windows. so we're not hearing about the turmoil regarding how to turn around the economy. but there is one tidbit about hillary clinton in this and woodward writes that suspicious had lingered after the 2008 presidential campaign. and in fact, obama floated the idea of naming hillary to a high profile post and david axelrod asked him "how could you trust hillary. how can you trust hillary? . senator lindsay graham, republican south carolina, was a key to getting a deal to building a facility in the u.s. that could replace gitmo, a place in the u.s. that could you place a number of these prisoners. lindsay graham hasn't had a conversation about this since may. had he a good conversation going with the white house and it ended. he said it was if it were hit by a predator drone and went off the landscape. they recognized that nothing is going to happen on this and with a more republican house, a more republican senate, there's even less chance of getting any kind of a replacement forg gitmo. >> so this is even during the campaign, something that the human eye spar about a lot. >> you said it will never close. >> never close. >> i still think it should. >> one of the earliest goals was closing guantanamo. >> closed within the first year. >> yeah, you're absolutely right. it's sort of the political -- >> jimmy carter granted amnesty and broke said that he would close down gitmo. >> i can't wait to get jimmy on this show. >> he's got the book. i think he likes me, tom. >> wait.
